On The Farm

Date & Time: Saturdays from July through September; 11:40am to 12:40pm
Location: Crosswalk Fellowship (located in the IVY Educational Center in Plano)
Address: 903 W Parker Rd., Plano
Description: As they learn about the animal world, kids will also learn songs, how to give and take, and to interact with each other in a structured environment. Through repetition, hands on props, and feeling and touching, the kids develop various abilities that help them in their growth. The program meets children at their level of experience and interest and draws from there a connection to Jesus by reminding them that everything is created by Him!

Parent must be present with the child

When looking for summer fun, don't forget about City of Plano  Parks.  Plano parks are the best!  There's a variety to choose from - some with pools, some with splash pads, some with baseball fields, some with picnic areas!

And the best part is.....they're FREE!

Symphonic Saturdays

Date & Time: Every Saturday @ 8pm - 10pm in AUGUST
Location: Addison Circle Park

Description:  Listen to live music from Dallas Wind Symphony and Richardson Symphony Orchestra.  Bring your blankets, lawn chairs or picnic to enjoy the music!

Texas Reading Club Jubilee: 1958-2008

Date & Time: June 4th to August 22nd
Location: Harrington Library 1501 18th Street; Schimelpfenig Library 5024 Custer Road; Haggard Library 2501 Coit Road; Davis Library 7501-B Independence Pkwy; Parr Library 6200 Windhaven Pkwy

Description: Children from birth to entering 5th grade may participate. Pick up a reading log between June 4th and July 27th. Read or be read to for 10 hours or more and record it on your log. Turn in your completed log between June 30 and August 22. Get a free paperback book, coupon giveaways, and a Summer Reading participant certificate!

Family Summer Reading Celebration

July 22, 2008 from 6 - 8pm at Hoblitzelle Park 7500 Red River Drive, PlanoFamilies are invited to bring a picnic and enjoy music, a storyteller, face painting, crafts, and more!  Remember your picnic blanket and camera!


 

Texas Teens Read 2008 Game On!

Date & Time: June 4th to August 22nd
Location: Harrington Library 1501 18th Street; Schimelpfenig Library 5024 Custer Road; Haggard Library 2501 Coit Road; Davis Library 7501-B Independence Pkwy; Parr Library 6200 Windhaven Pkwy
Description: Pick up a reading log between June 4 and July 27. Complete any combination of six activities and record them on your log. Turn in a completed log between June 30 and August 22 to earn a free paperback book and coupon giveaways!
