This private event must be scheduled at least 1 day in advance. When looking for summer fun, don't forget about City of Plano Parks. Plano parks are the best! There's a variety to choose from - some with pools, some with splash pads, some with baseball fields, some with picnic areas! And the best part is.....they're FREE!
Location: more than 150 participating Dallas/Fort Worth libraries (click on link above to find your library.) Plano Library is not participating. Ages: 2 - 12 yrs Description: The reading program is easy and fun for kids to participate. Kids can earn a FREE circus ticket to any Dallas/Fort Worth Ringling Bros. performance in July and August by simply doing their library reading! Enroll with the librarian to get started. Kids will receive cool bookmarks, clown noses, puzzles and coloring sheets, too! Cost: FREE
Story Time with Queen LaLa Date & Time: Wednesday mornings at 11:00 a.m. through July 29th Location: The Shops at Willow Bend Address: Dallas North Tollway and W. Park Boulevard in Plano Description: Children and their parents/caregivers are invited to come and enjoy Story Time while the Queen reads new and classic children’s books.
There is no charge to attend Story Time with Queen LaLa, which is held on the second level, just above the Children’s Play Area.
Summer Blast Description: FREE Fireworks every Friday night at 9:30 p.m. along the shores of Lake Grapevine. Bring your blankets and picnic baskets to enjoy the FREE show shimmering on the lake!
