National Association for the Education of Young Children

The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is dedicated to improving the well-being of all young children, with particular focus on the quality of educational and developmental services for all children from birth through age 8.

Description: Practical Parent Education is a non-profit organization based in Plano, Texas dedicated to helping parents do their job better. Parent education classes are offered during the school year in schools, churches, and businesses throughout Collin County. Please visit our website for specific dates, times and locations. Please come by our . Annual membership fees ($10 book privileges; $15 includes toy privileges) give patrons access to over 3000 books, audio cassettes and videos available for check-out. Developmental toys, for children ranging in age from infancy to early elementary school, are also available.

Parent Teacher Organization 

 PTA is a grassroots organization made up of parents, teachers and others around the state who have a special interest in children, families and schools. PTA membership is as diverse as Texas is in cultures, education levels and parenting skills. By joining a PTA,a member automatically becomes part of the largest child-advocacy organization in the state — over 650,000 strong across Texas.

Ministering to Families with Special Needs Kids 

Texas' Special Kids is a 501 C (3) Non-profit ministry organization whose mission is to serve families who have children with special educational and/or developmental concerns.

We have experience as home educators, professional public educators, and professional special education educators. Personal application of our professional expertise came through our own special needs child who put us on the other side. His growth and development today are attributed to the vast resources of the local public school and the tutoring environment of home education. This difficult experience has equipped us with the tools to assist and meet the needs of Texas families who struggle as we have.
 

The Greensheet Education Foundation

The Greensheet Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation whose mission is to enhance curriculum and support Texas and Arizona communities as a FREE educational resource.

We reinforce literary arts and promote critical, creative, and independent thinking skills through high quality educational programs, publications, and partnerships. We reach over 40,000 elementary-to-high school students every year.
