Description: Keeping our annual tradition alive took a partnership with a local landowner and a few necessary changes. This year we’re launching the fireworks from Lavon Farms near the Plano Event Center. The new location is on higher ground than our normal launch site at Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve. The pyrotechnics will also be shot at a higher altitude – nearly twice as high as usual. As a result, you’ll be able to see the fireworks from a mile away! Instead of joining us on site, we encourage you to watch the fireworks from your home (if you live close by), vehicle, neighborhood or open parking lots around the area. As always, the display will be set to music on radio station 97.5 KLAK.

Location Address: The parade starts promptly at 9:00 am at the corner of Church Rd and Green Oaks Dr. It follows westward on Church Rd to the Lake Highlands North Recreation Center.
Description: Every summer on July 4th, the Exchange Club salutes the community by sponsoring a very patriotic parade which ends in a carnival. Children decorate bikes and trikes, families line the streets, businesses boast floats with banners and the whole shebang is lead by our City Councilman and the neighborhood firefighters. The carnival fills the recreation center parking lot and offers food, fun, and music to the community. Parade starts at 9:00 Carnival starts immediately following the parade. Carnival ends at 12pm.
