Aquatic Adventures

Ages: For children eligible for 4th-5th grade enrollment in fall 2012

Campers will spend three days learning all about the aquatic world at the Children's Aquarium at Fair Park, then spend two days at TRAC exploring ponds, wetlands and our amazing Trinity River. We'll paddle in kayaks and canoes, muck through wetlands, sample ponds and give catch-and-release fishing a try to see what fish species are present. Bring an extra pair of clothes; we will be getting dirty! This special camp includes a staff-supervised sleepover at TRAC on Thursday, July 19.

Registration fees include guided Zoo tours, Wild Wonders live animal presentations, keeper chats, snacks, craft activities and a Summer Zoo Camp T-shirt (required to be worn daily). Full-day campers will need to bring their own lunch daily.

Campers enrolled in the Oceans & Water Discovery Camps will have the opportunity to explore the exciting traveling exhibition Planet Shark, which will take them on a journey through the murky myths and fascinating facts that have surrounded sharks for centuries.

Camp Grady Spruce
