5 Steps to Child Care Solutions
1 ) Search online for day care providers, 24-hour residential facilities, and adoption agencies and foster care at w w w. t x c h i l d c a re s e a rc h.o rg.
2 ) Enter your requirements in each box that applies to your search. The search will return a list of providers, their locations and phone numbers, who report services meeting your specifications.
3 ) Select specific providers to re search licensing history. If details of regulatory
inspections are not available online, call your local Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services Child Care Licensing Office for the child care’s compliance with minimum health and safety standard s .
4 ) Call your local child-care resource and referral agency for additional information on the programs, costs, availability and accessibility of the individual providers. Your local resource and referral agency will also discuss your specific parenting or child’s needs to assist with choosing quality child care. 5 ) Visit the day care or residential facilities you want to explore. Observe and interview the caregivers. Talk to parents whose children attend. Make sure the provider’s care meets your standards. Once your child is in care, stay involved and keep asking questions.
